USING STREET THEATRE TO TELL STORIES

Grass Under Foot produces sustainable, low-impact, outdoor touring theatre. Our work covers the six counties of North Wales. We take a radical approach to how and where theatre is delivered. To us a theatre is not a permanent building, it’s a cultural expression, an arena of storytelling, and a forum for debate. This can happen anywhere where people gather at an agreed time.

REACHING INTO THE COMMUNITY

Our work is not just narrative theatre. It uses circus, Commedia, music hall, and street theatre, and it speaks to a non-theatre-going audience. Our theatre is democratic, interactive, and fun. It’s for local communities. It tells their stories and celebrates their history. It’s time for local communities to take back control of an art form that was once theirs. It’s time to bring theatre home.

NOT FOR PROFIT, FOR THEATRE

Grass Under Foot is a not-for-profit social enterprise. We will put back all of our profits into our various projects to help make our theatre environmentally friendly, sustainable, affordable, and accessible to all.
