CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY

As a community theatre company, we recognize the importance of maintaining confidentiality in order to respect the privacy of our members, employees, volunteers, and freelancers. Therefore, we have established the following confidentiality policy:

  1. Confidential Information: We consider any information that is not publicly available or generally known to be confidential. This includes, but is not limited to, personal information of our members, employees, and volunteers, financial information, artistic and creative ideas, and any other information that is deemed confidential by the company.
  2. Obligation to Maintain Confidentiality: All members, employees, volunteers, and freelancers of the community theatre company are expected to maintain the confidentiality of any confidential information that they may access during the course of their work or association with the company. This obligation continues even after their association with the company has ended.
  3. Disclosure of Confidential Information: Confidential information may not be disclosed to any third party, except with the prior written consent of the person(s) to whom the information pertains or as required by law.
  4. Protection of Confidential Information: We will take all necessary measures to protect the confidentiality of any confidential information that we possess, including but not limited to physical security measures, password protection, and limiting access to confidential information only to those individuals who have a legitimate need to access it.
  5. Reporting Breaches of Confidentiality: Any breach of this confidentiality policy should be immediately reported to the company’s management or designated person responsible for maintaining confidentiality.
  6. Consequences of Breaching Confidentiality: Breaching this confidentiality policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, suspension or revocation of volunteer privileges, and/or legal action if appropriate.
  7. Freelancers: Freelancers who work with the company should sign a confidentiality agreement that outlines their responsibilities in maintaining the confidentiality of any confidential information they may come across during the course of their work. The confidentiality agreement should be consistent with the company’s confidentiality policy and should provide clear guidelines for protecting confidential information.

By adhering to this confidentiality policy, we aim to maintain the trust and respect of our members, employees, volunteers, and freelancers, and to protect the confidentiality of any confidential information that we possess.
