We are a responsible organization that is committed to preventing pollution, ensuring compliance with all environmental legislation, and continually minimizing its environmental impact as much as is reasonably practicable.
In addition, we have established an action plan of improvement and continued monitoring of our resources to ensure that we achieve our goals as set out in our environmental policy and that we continually reflect upon our commitments.
All our stakeholders, customers, and partners are encouraged to work with us to achieve the following goals.
- Promote reusing. By April 2027 we aim to reuse 90% of our costume, set, and venue infrastructure for every project and production we undertake
- Reduce waste. By April 2027 we aim to reduce our material waste by 90%.
- Promote recycling. We will aim to recycle 95% of our waste by April 2027.
- Promote the use of sustainable and recyclable materials. By April 2027 we aim to use sustainable sources for our raw materials 98% of the time.
- Promote sustainable energy production. We will aim to be off-grid with 90% of our energy from green sources by April 2032.
- Continuous Monitoring. To ensure we monitor our impact on the environment and are aware of our use of resources we will continually monitor our usage of natural resources such as energy and water. We aim to monitor this closely and by the 2025 festival have built up a baseline image of what our energy consumption looks like and then consider ways of reducing our use of resources.
